Terrific. This book got my mind rolling again. I’ll have to rummage through the house again. This is stuff you you can find at flea markets, tag sales, etc.. As they say, “One mans junk is another mans treasure”. Eileen

    Hi Scott,
I really enjoyed your Overlooked Treasure e-book. It was quick and informative. I think I’ve got a few things around the house that I can sell that I never would have thought about before reading your book. Thanks!

  3. LizaS - November 27th, 2007 at 10:12 pm

I remembered after reading your e-book that Grandpa had left several old skillets from his Boy Scout days in our garage! Sure enough, they look to be excellent Ebay candidates. I would have probably passed over listing them right away without your advice. I am often pleasantly surprised which items I’ve listed that outdo the rest! Thank you!

  4. Nancy Langston - November 27th, 2007 at 10:17 pm

I was surprised by some of the stuff that got good prices but some I had found out by experience. I have enjoyed going through looking at all the overlooked treasures.

  5. MoneyHeals - November 27th, 2007 at 10:55 pm

    What a wonderful resource!

Very easy format and easy to understand. I’ll be hitting the sales this weekend with your guide in my hand.

    Thanks a lot,

    Mike

    Thanks again.

  7. YourSmilingChef - November 27th, 2007 at 11:16 pm

Your ebook is definitely an “Overlooked Treasure!” Without it, I’d never have thought of so many unique items to sell.

Thank you so much Scott for clearing the cobwebs… in my attic and in my mind!

  8. Frank Folena - November 28th, 2007 at 2:11 pm

I am a genuine antique, reaching my 78th birthday on Thanksgiving, but never stop learning. Your E-Book was a fantastic find. Although I don’t have many old treasures myself, I will now be on the lookout for these “treasures”. We moved twelve years ago, and still have dozens of unpacked boxes in the garage-you know, stuff you don’t really need but its to good to toss. I’m going to sort through the boxes with a new vision, and I’ll bet I find some treasures. Thanks for your excellent source-book.
    Keep up the good work.

    Scott,
I’m sorry to say I didn’t get a copy of your 91 overlooked items .
It down loaded as a bunch of dots on the computer, and paper from the printer. Danged if I know why.

  17. Corky - November 28th, 2007 at 7:40 pm

    Hi Scott,

Interesting book. found a coupe things I wasn’t aware of being hot on eBay. Thank you. Love to look at garage junk sales.

You might also want to take a look into dollhouses, especially ones with lots of accessories. We’ve had them with added rooms that go like crazy. $350 rings a bell.
Also bakelite. Had a FADA art deco style bakelite radio with no cracks and it went in the $370 range.
Family bibles with lots of notes as to ancestary go well.
    Keep up the good work!

    Thanks so much!
    Corky

  18. Vic - November 29th, 2007 at 2:17 am

  22. Chet Hastings - November 29th, 2007 at 10:37 am

There is no question about the value of the information contained in this book for those of us who do estate and garage sales for items to sell on eBay. But there is another very important use of this information that came to mind as I read, and printed, your book.

For those of use who build niche websites and eBay affiliate sites, this information is a gold mine. Just browse thru the items and note the large number of items listed in some of these catagories and imagine how simple it would be to build a niche site around some of these narrow niches. I have already started another new site. Good stuff.

Thanks for this book. Keep up the good work.

    Chet

  23. Larry Atterberry - November 29th, 2007 at 3:25 pm

Thank you for the few report. It is wonderful information that I will be able to make money on. I am just stating to sell on ebay and this is the kind of information that I have been looking for. Thanks

  24. Roxann - November 29th, 2007 at 5:25 pm

Who would have “thunk it”. I’m usually very critical of ebooks sold on internet etc… This “Sure” interesting. Some of the items didn’t surprise me, But there were many, many items that made my “chin drop”. Want to let you know how much I appreciate your letting me browse your hard work in compiling all this information and for free, couldn’t believe it. Thank you. Happy Holidays to you !

  25. James J Jones - November 29th, 2007 at 7:06 pm

Scott — enjoyed reading the ebook. Thanks for allowing me to contribute my article about Time Life books.

Here’s something to add to the next edition: Vintage Typewriter keys. You sometimes see old typewriters at thrift stores and garage sales. The typewriiters themselves aren’t usually worth selling but if you take off the keys they will bring a nice chunk of change! Search for VINTAGE TYPEWRITER KEYS on eBay.

I liked your list of products for those who have these things around the house, but of all 91 I only had the Reminisce magazines. nothing else on your list i had. But for those you did have this stuff around it would be great.

  33. Terry Hotaling - November 30th, 2007 at 5:36 am

Thanks so much for your e-book. I knew, or thought I did, that you could sell anything on ebay but it sure made me think of so many things to look for at garage sales and also look at some things I have saved. It’s amazing what you don’t think will sell. The season is over up here in AK but sure will look at garage/estate sales more carefully next summer. I’m looking forward to your update. Thanks again!

    Terry

  34. Judi Mehrens - November 30th, 2007 at 8:13 am

A special thanks for all the great research you did to give us this excellent book! I look forward to the updates.

  35. Margaret Bubner - November 30th, 2007 at 8:31 am

    Hello,

I was amazed at some of the items that are in demand

Really loved the two coloured golf balls :-)

Definately will be looking at garage sales with new eyes :-)

    many thanks

    Margaret

  36. RLTaylor - November 30th, 2007 at 9:44 am

Very enlightening. Many of the things I would not have thought would be quite in demand. If one has enough time to scout around for the many, many, rare items considered to be collectible he could make quite a hefty return and profit.

  37. Shani Evans - November 30th, 2007 at 11:35 am

    Love the e-book.
I don’t have any of the stuff, but i do go to car boot sales (mostly to sell) so i will keep my eyes open for an undervalued little gem. ;-)

  38. Mike - November 30th, 2007 at 1:12 pm

Excellent content Scott which should get the old grey cells working.People tend to get bogged down thinking what to sell, you have demonstrated that thinking outside the box can have huge rewards.Another huge market is for Warhammer figures selling on Ebay, keep up the good work, regards Mike

  39. Vasil - November 30th, 2007 at 3:07 pm

    Thanks Scott,
It’s raelly very usefull information. Im sure everyone will enjoy that. I never thought a bamboo rod cold be sold for that price. After I read your book I did a small search as well and I found that deer or elk horns are also good things to sell (even the smallest ones). You may wish to have a look at that.
    Thanks again.

  40. Linda Martin - November 30th, 2007 at 4:49 pm

LOVED the eBook! I have been selling on eBay for about 1-1/2 years and wish I’d had this earlier. I am taking your advice and keeping it in my car for instant referencing.
I am also taking a deeper look into the garage (scary) and closets for all of the “missed” treasures that have been right under my nose.LOL
    Thank you again.

    Linda

  41. LizaS - November 30th, 2007 at 4:56 pm

Hi Paul…these skillets turned out to be newer, and I need to clean them up. #6 & #8, small logo and one of the flat griddles with small holes Grandma used for “Swedish Pancakes” Grandpa’s scout ones were used over campfires, really sooty! But heck, I would have gone Goodwill with them at first glance, with what postage costs…now I should clear $50 + for the lot at least! There’s more old aluminum cooking sets, coleman stuff too. I was still plowing through his hundreds of old scout patches and books, so hadn’t tackled those boxes yet!

My most unusual yard sale find for Ebay was a looseleaf leather tooling book I got for a quarter, sold for $150. Got over $75 last month for some extra yarn a neighbor gave me for free. Some of Grandma’s costume jewelry that no other relatives claimed made a ton (as they fought over the few good things she owned!) Bought a bunch of $1 costumes at my son’s college drama annual sale, average return was $12 each! My motto is if it’s cheap enough, I’ll try LISTING anything once!

  42. Review Boss - November 30th, 2007 at 5:40 pm

    Hey,

Certainly worth 20 bucks… good research and well done. Really useful information.

    Thanks
    RB :)

  43. Mel Edwardes - November 30th, 2007 at 6:18 pm

Scott - Thank you for your e-book. I found it very interesting buy very little applies here in the UK. For example, “Golf Ball” typewriters sell well in the USA but go for nothing over here in the UK. However, I will keep your info. to hand and give “Boot Sales” which I think are like your Yard or Tag sales, a closer look. Mel

  44. Rob Albright - November 30th, 2007 at 6:20 pm

Beautifully done, must have taken you many hours hard work.
I very much appreciate your sharing it with me and others!
Hope you have other wonderful items to send to us all.
    Best regards,
    Rob

  45. Clint - November 30th, 2007 at 6:43 pm

    Scott,

I really enjoyed the e-book. Yours is the first e-book that Ive printed out.
And yes, I did put it in a 3 ring binder and carry it with me.

    Thanks

  46. Al Gates - November 30th, 2007 at 6:44 pm

I really appreciate the work you put into this Scott…..and then giving it away was really a nice thing to do. It will be in my car when I’m treasure-hunting around this area. Thanks again.

  47. George Phillips - November 30th, 2007 at 7:42 pm

Great Book it really opened my eyes. I have been thinking about the ebay thing for awhile and now I have this great resource to get me of to a good start.

  48. John - November 30th, 2007 at 9:01 pm

Great Resource! After I scanned it I decided to print it out and
higlight certain items that i always see at garage sales but
never gave them a second glance.
Cant wait till Saturday to head out armed with your hot tips.
    Many thanks Scott.

  49. Maureen - November 30th, 2007 at 9:36 pm

Great! I would have never even thought to research any of the items mentioned. I don’t have any of the items, but I can think of several family members who do! Of course, that won’t make me any money, but I don’t mind making my family money, and I’ll definitely be on the lookout at yard sales.

  50. Dominic - December 1st, 2007 at 12:15 am

Yeeaah Yeeaah, very interesting. I guess what they say is true- one man’s trash is another man’s treasure! You’ve perked my attention.

  51. William Reau - December 1st, 2007 at 12:34 pm

I found it interesting but of little value for me at this time since I am not presently selling anything on websites/ebay.

  52. Norm - December 1st, 2007 at 3:45 pm

Some great info. Now if only I lived in a large enough population area to be able to pick up some of those “treasures”. What few worthwhile items have long since disappeared from the local auctions, flea markets, yard sales. Seems some entrepreneurs already got to them……smile, but I’ll keep a watch out. At least, your book gives me ideas about possibilities of other previously overlooked items.

  53. Trish in Az - December 1st, 2007 at 4:41 pm

    Wonderful!
What sells big are items that I’ve used & some I still have!

    Am I getting older……..

    Great, Quick reading! Very informative!
Thanks for taking the time to write this!

  54. scott - December 1st, 2007 at 5:47 pm

Hello Scott, Excellent market research in this book!!!. I can see you know your stuff, and not just the treasure stuff inside this ebook. I think it would be great to have some more ebooks from you with simular subjecs etc.. Keep up the good work and me on your news letter.

  55. Lois - December 1st, 2007 at 6:24 pm

What an interesting download and for free. Quite unsual in this day and age. I’m trying to help a couple of new ebayers get started and this is going to be forwarded to them. I know it will be a big help to them. I definitely will be reading your newsletters. Thanks so much.

  56. Lynn Norton - December 1st, 2007 at 6:55 pm

This is a brillian resource and definitely has more value than many paid for ebooks and reports. I will be delighted to share it with my blog readers. Thank you very much!

  57. Eric Gropler - December 2nd, 2007 at 12:06 am

Well done. Really useful information, a lot food for thought.
I scanned it then print it out and will keep it for future reference.
Thank you for providing this ebook for free.
    Regards Eric

  58. Ken C. - December 2nd, 2007 at 2:01 pm

Great suff to keep in mind when out looking at yardsales on Saturday.

  59. Jinx Bailey - December 2nd, 2007 at 5:14 pm

Scott: What a refreshing free download. I thought I had come up with all or most all good items but you really spent a lot of time and effort to bring forth a bunch more. Much appreciated. And yes, slowly but surely I have compiled a little A-Z notebook, which I keep in my van, for reference when I am out “searching”, it really helps. Your print out will also be added to my “goodies”. thanks again.

  60. tamela - December 2nd, 2007 at 6:34 pm

Scott- I LOVE your list of 91 things !!! It is the type of info I have been scouring the web, and ebay books, etc, for, and somehow it is very difficult to come by !!! Please continue posting your additional “91 things…” lists– I’ll be anxiously waiting !

  61. Jim - December 2nd, 2007 at 6:41 pm

Your work has stimulated my mind again from stagnation. I seemed to have hit a wall with new ideas and what i read jump started the process again. Thank You

  62. William - December 2nd, 2007 at 8:59 pm

Hey Scott, A well reserched book. Also look for industrial grade
cookware . I bought a Redco onion cutter for $5.00 and sold for
$148.00 and a Dallas Saladmaster for $5.00 and sold for $92.00.
I could go on and on. Bottom line, if it looks unusual or out of place
    and it’s cheap, buy it.

  63. Jeff - December 2nd, 2007 at 10:03 pm

Loved the e-book. Get it off the web! I don’t want anyone else to see it. Keep up the good work!!! Kudos to you!

  64. John Cook - December 3rd, 2007 at 12:08 am

    Hi Scott:
    Terrific information.
Not the usual junk that’s given away, but a very useful, informative and valuable e-book which I, and I am sure many others, will turn to time and time again.
    Terrific.
    Many thanks,

  65. Sam Sable - December 3rd, 2007 at 8:16 am

I bought an e-book once and the guy raved about how he made a small fortune selling match box cars on e-bay,OK. So I started collecting match box cars, had two lots of 20 cars each starting price was 99¢ never got a bid on either group and I tried it twice so much for that.
I can see where some of the things you have listed would sell, so if all the items you have listed are good sellers then yes it’s a good e-book, and it’s nice of you to give it away free. Thanks

  66. James W Dunlap - December 3rd, 2007 at 10:57 am

Very good. Got several ideas. Thanks.

  67. Terri - December 3rd, 2007 at 11:15 am

This is one of the best ebooks that I have received. It is actually informative. It has great ideas for things to look for to sell on ebay. Some of the things mentioned, I had figured out for myself. I take that to mean that the ideas that are new to me will also be successful if I am lucky enough to find them. Of course, the “hunt” is the fun part. Thanks for making your ideas available to the rest of us.

  68. Crash - December 3rd, 2007 at 1:17 pm

Fasinating! And my mom told me to get rid of all that trash and to stop beinfg a pack rat. Little did she know that I could be wealthy from JUNK!

  69. Ricky Prince - December 3rd, 2007 at 1:33 pm

  73. David - December 4th, 2007 at 6:47 pm

    Hello Scott,

Thanks for your book it’s very informative. I am still KICKING myself. A lot of the stuff you show in your book I use to have.

I think I should be able to find alot of the stuff at yard sales to build for my retirement. Thanks again.

    Respectfully,
    David

  74. Roxie - December 4th, 2007 at 7:42 pm

That was a totally awesome job you did making that ebook. I had to pick my jaw up off my chest several times, especially when I saw the woodworking magazines for sale.

  75. Dan Wiencek - December 4th, 2007 at 8:42 pm

What a find! I never would have thought of some of these items as hot sellers. Thanks for the legwork!

  76. Keries - December 4th, 2007 at 9:10 pm

Now I know what to look for at garage sales. I’ll also let my list know of your ebook.

    Keries

  77. Loren - December 4th, 2007 at 9:55 pm

Several years ago I made a killing selling a couple of collections of Fine Woodworking magazine. When Fine Woodworking released their Best Of
CD a few years back, the bottom fell out of the market when guys who just wanted the articles bought the CD.

Prices may have rallied a bit, though. Collections that start at issue #1 are uncommon and well-healed tool-collectors will get real obsessive about completeness, driving prices up sometimes.

  78. Loren - December 4th, 2007 at 9:59 pm

BTW - I once bough a pachinko machine figuring these 70s era kitsch items would sell well on EBAY - NOT!

Always consider the shipping weight of items that you aren’t sure about… because you could end up with a boat anchor nobody wants to take a risk on…. especially if it has delicate moving parts, etc..

  79. Tara - December 5th, 2007 at 7:21 am

Hi Scott! Thank you. I thought the info was great. Layout was nicely formatted and easy to understand.
My husband loves to go to yard sales and find Polaroid Cameras. He also looks for larger size ice skates. He finds they do pretty well.
    Thanks again!
    Be well!

  80. Larry - December 5th, 2007 at 9:40 am

Just Awesome! Wow Scott, what a great little Ebook. You could be selling this but no, it’s all FREE! You da man! Your page is now bookmarked and I will be visiting often. Thanx again for making such a kool and powerful Ebook available…

  83. Carmen - December 5th, 2007 at 2:13 pm

Thanks for the work, nicely done and sounds like it helps everyone. I can’t relate to anything here. Those square dance outfits were going for peanuts, so wonder why they are included?

Great timing on this offering of the book, We are in process of a move, and it has given us “new eyes”on a few things

  86. Clara - December 5th, 2007 at 5:30 pm

Read the ebook in about 15 minutes. Loved it. Saw things that I’d passed over before and wish I could go back. Now I know what to look for when I’m out scouring yard sales. I’ve see a lot of this stuff. Anyway, thanks for eye opening possibilities.

  87. Tony Wheeler - December 5th, 2007 at 5:31 pm

    Hey Scott,

Great tips and book. I really liked the update that you sent out. I’m sending the whole shebang to my mom. She is a thrift junkie and eBay addict.

    Thanks!

  88. roberta - December 5th, 2007 at 5:32 pm

We are so lucky in the midwest to have many of these things at garage sales and auctions Thanks for taking the time to cmpile this list. I have printed it out and send to one of my “sale” friends.

This works in Europe, too. Thank you. Time to make use of old greenback. After all, notes make music (especially bank notes).

  94. Bob - December 5th, 2007 at 8:49 pm

    Hi Scott;
The ebook was very interesting. Got my mind working. I will never just throw anything out again without thinking about it first!! Thanks again.

  95. Joy Z. - December 5th, 2007 at 9:02 pm

Thanks for the copy of the ebook! I immediately went and looked at all the old cameras that relatives gave me…(one of them was a brownie box camera from 1916) The e-book certainly got me thinking in whole new ways with some great ideas! Thanks again! Joy

  96. Mary - December 5th, 2007 at 10:48 pm

WOW!! Lots of helpful info. Keep it coming. I almost hate to think of what else there may be, that we shouldn’t have given away. Things I would never have thought about are apparently worth something today. And those cameras, my sister and I were just discussing whether or not we had a certain old one around here still and I think we gave away our old Polaroid. I think I will be a lot more careful as to what goes out now. I plan on going through the attic when getting our xmas stuff out and digging out some old pictures we don’t need anymore and see what I can do with them. Till next time.

    Thanks,

    Mary

  97. Jack Phillips - December 5th, 2007 at 11:30 pm

Thanks for the ebook it was great info, especialy the cast iron cookware my wife said all our old cast iron stuff is packed away back on the farm.

We will have to check it out, there is a huge box of old 8 track tapes and I believe the old portable player is still there also. My old 64 pontiac is rusting away out behind the barn it has an old player in it but junk now!

    Again great information.

    Jack

  98. garry - December 6th, 2007 at 12:05 am

Thanks & congratulations for your informative free downloadable ebook! It contradicts the common principle “you get what you pay for”: 91 very good tips for free! Excellent infos for the hobby ebayer. In France, old wooden skis for decorative purposes sell well in the Christmas season. A guy here sells sleds all around the year presented as decorative coffee tables. Cheers, G.

  99. Samar - December 6th, 2007 at 12:05 am

Thank you Scott for this wonderful e-book. I will be on the lookout for these hot items!

  100. Debbie - December 6th, 2007 at 1:35 am

Oh, I could kick myself! I’ve passed up just about everything on this list at one point or another - including things we’ve sold at family garage sales, etc. Thanks - now I’ll know what to look for!

    Debbie

  101. Perry - December 6th, 2007 at 1:58 am

Thanks Scott for a great ebook. Who would of thunk old ham radios would bring as much as what they cost new. I even saw some that were more than the new cost. W.O.W. WOW There is a tremendous amount of research that went into this book and everybody should really appreciate your effort in this. I know I sure do. I subscribe to Terry Gibbs’s newsletter and he was the one that turned me on to this and for that I say THANKS TERRY
Keep up the good work Scott

  102. Anna Dallimore - December 6th, 2007 at 4:50 am

Thank you for the ebook. There are some interesting ideas, but very orientated towards the US. Have you looked in the same way at the UK market by any chance?
I look forward to your emails!

  103. David Jones - December 6th, 2007 at 4:58 am

Great list of ideas and products. We like it. Thanks alot. We wish you the best. D&E:O)

  104. Antony - December 6th, 2007 at 5:12 am

Interesting read though some of the things can’t be found in UK junk shops or car boot sales. However it does give me ideas for the sort of things to look out for. Looking forward to your emails and thanks for your excellent ebook.

  105. Rebecca Brotherston - December 6th, 2007 at 6:49 am

What rotten luck! Just this past week-end I forced my two teen girls to do their scheduled bi-annual bed-room clean and they came across the trunk full of several cheer-leading outfits from my school days that they have borrowed from over the years for Halloween. I’m talking at least eight or nine complete with pom-poms, saddle shoes, emblems and official team player letters and pins. It never entered my mind to dispose of these in the past but for some reason and completely out of chacacter for me I took them to a local donation drop box and left them without batting an eye. Well believe you me, I am batting two eyes at the moment, trying to hold back the tears…Sniff. Wait…is it?… Could I?… Noooo, you don’t think…maybe I.. Oh my! MENOPAUSE!!! AAAGGGHHHHH!! Anyway, with all due respect, thank you for the valuable information you have so generously passed on to your ebay family. Considering the amount of time and effort you dedicated to this endeavor if only for personal use is in itself impressive, but to give it so freely is beautiful. God Bless… Angel

  106. Margie Elmendorf - December 6th, 2007 at 7:33 am

That was a super ebook. Great research done and it sure has made me want to look for some stuff. Anyway, well done. I appreciate that you gave this away.

  107. SALLY BECHDEL - December 6th, 2007 at 2:26 pm

GREAT INFORMATION, WORTH READING. WILL HAVE TO LOOK AROUND FOR SOME OF THESE THINGS THAT I USUALLY THROW OUT… GREAT E-BOOK….THANK YOU…

  108. Terry Heintz - December 6th, 2007 at 2:59 pm

Wow!!!!!!!!! You don’t know how many of these items i’ve passed up at sales.Very useful and helpful. Thanks so much for doing the work for me.
You never really know how much something is going for on EBAY till you have one and you need to research it .Then after researching figure out i should have bought all of them. Im putting this vital information in a binder as we speak. Please keep my updated . Thanks so much, your friend in Indiana.

  109. Michael Rahaim - December 6th, 2007 at 3:02 pm

Not only is this little book great for Christmas Ebaying, but for all year long. It’s direct and to the point. Thanks for doing a super job!

  110. Renee - December 6th, 2007 at 4:37 pm

This will be handy when I go to auctions!! Knowing what to bid on will save me a lot of money and I won’t be taking home and listing items that don’t sell! Thanks!!!

  111. Theo - December 6th, 2007 at 4:48 pm

    Good Job!

  112. Vickie - December 6th, 2007 at 6:42 pm

Not only thank you for the helpful information, but also it is an easy read set up. I have a rare eye disease and have less than normal vision. This was very easy to see to read and I thank you very much for that. Eager to search for some of these items. Thank you!

  113. Irene - December 6th, 2007 at 7:30 pm

refreshing ebook; not the usual kind of rehashed info
easy to read and well laid out; liked the ebay auction results linked with each product
do not have these items, but will feel more knowledgeable when doing garage sales..usually am overwhelmed by the amount of stuff I see, and choosing items is usually a guessing game

    thanks so much

  114. Tara - December 7th, 2007 at 1:27 am

This really opens your eyes to a lot of new possibilities.
    Thanks!!

  116. Keries - December 7th, 2007 at 2:52 am

    Hi Scott

Yes there is something in the saying one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

My teenage son buys games PCs, xBox etc from noticeboards and garage sales and does quite well out of it buy seling on eBay. Has been know to buy games for and sell for over $30 as he now knows the market quite well.

Also maybe my habit of picking up things that might have value one day might payoff one day.

    Keries

Thanks for yer freeby part of the book.
I imagine from now on; there’ll be a void where the skillets and metal detectors used to lay collecting dust………..
Thankyou for opening our eyes to new opportunities possible; for the treasures we once threw out or gave away……
all the best to you (and me too)
    sincerely;
    Jayme Natasha

  119. outoftheattic2u - December 7th, 2007 at 8:37 am

Thanks for a host of new ideas. I am always at garage sales etc. and always bypass a lot of what is selling.

    Hi, Scott

Thank for your “91 Common Everyday….” book. I enjoyed it and plan to use it as a reference as you suggest. I was surprised by some of it and plan to try out some of the “junk electronics” I’ve been planning to dispose of properly (throw away) as soon as I have time. Thank you!

  122. Venus - December 8th, 2007 at 7:19 am

What a treat! You did all the work and I get to start treasure hunting. Thanks so much. I’ll be visiting your site often.

  123. Tracy - December 8th, 2007 at 8:11 am

What an excellent e-book. I never imagined that half the stuff in there would be worth anything. I am going to have to take a closer look around the house. This is one newsletter I will actually read!

    Thanks,

    Tracy

  124. John - December 8th, 2007 at 9:55 am

    Scott

I was really excited to see your analysis! It was amazing to see items that you never thought were that valuable.
You bet I have added the list to what I would be looking to sell on Ebay.
    Many thanks

  125. one*more*time*4*u - December 8th, 2007 at 11:22 am

I found it very interesting. However, when I did a search on eBay for some of the items mentioned, they were not bringing anywhere near the amount you had.

But, as we know, eBay is an ever-changing involvement and oftentimes, it’s a matter of timing.

Great info. Lets me know to at least keep an eye out for items I hadn’t thought of before.

    Thanks!!

Note: sure when you search ebay to look at completed auctions. Just looking at current listings doesn’t tell you the whole story. Scott

  126. Jennifer - December 8th, 2007 at 11:46 pm

This is awesome! Thanks so much

  127. Bill - December 8th, 2007 at 11:49 pm

Scott-My wife told me there was an ebook I had to read. I just finished Overlooked Treasure and it is one of the best I have come across. Straight to the point. No BS!
    Job well done
    Thank you

  129. Deb the Tax Lady - December 9th, 2007 at 7:31 am

Man o Man - I think I have a fortune in my attic and basement-now to just find the time to go through it. Thanks for the info-it was greatly appreciated

  130. Andrew - December 9th, 2007 at 10:04 am

Great report Scott, it was very good of you to let me have such valuable information for free. Most marketers would have charged an arm and a leg for such information

  131. Glen Wood - December 9th, 2007 at 12:07 pm

    Very interesting….it is true…One person’s trash is another’s treasure.
We often do not realize the quality of the product or item we have….thereby losing when we could have gained.

  132. Bendz - December 9th, 2007 at 1:37 pm

    Hi Scott,

Your ebook is nice and very useful. Just the needed information with pictures. Nice presentation. Your ebook is a treasure to me.
Thanks for sharing this information with us for free.

  133. SGS - December 9th, 2007 at 2:02 pm

Beautifully laid out - thanks so much.
I did check several of the items against completed eBay listings and sadly they don’t bring nearly as much. The market must be FLOODED with counted cross stitch patterns!!

Please keep them coming — I think it’s superb.

  134. Joyce Y - December 10th, 2007 at 1:13 pm

Was pleased with the report and have had a ball looking through my house to find some of the “treasures”. Did I misunderstand (or not) that you would be adding updates periodically when they were available to the list that was there. If so where can we get this update? It was wonderful, thanks.

  135. Mary - December 10th, 2007 at 4:13 pm

Thank You I Was Amazed At What I Have Walked Past At Yard Sales And Considered Junk Not AnyMore Thanks To You

  136. First Variety Store on the Moon - December 10th, 2007 at 9:39 pm

I enjoyed the book too. I would like to give some help to all the folks who will be scrubbing the old cast iron fry pans. Run them through a cycle in a self-cleaning oven. If you don’t have one, ask a friend. All the grit will be burned right off. Then you can wash and season the pan. People can’t believe what great condition the pans (I sell) are in. Just can’t find many old ones around the midwest. I think they have all been on eBay or they’re still being used. LOL. Best wishes… ~Annie

  137. Sandy - December 10th, 2007 at 10:34 pm

Thanks for the info Scott! Some I knew, but found a number of surprises that will get me out to my storage shed…….as soon as my broken arm is healed well enough :) The information provided is good stuff….at a great price.

  138. Anne - December 11th, 2007 at 10:24 am

    Thanks Scott.

This was quite an eye opener, especially the cast iron pots and pans (I have several of them).

  139. GeneInTexas - December 11th, 2007 at 1:16 pm

Scott, Thank you very much for your free book. Even though I have been selling on e-Bay for a long time, I sure learned some new things. We tend to get stuck in a rut and this helps one think about the business with a fresh outlook.

  140. Cindy - December 11th, 2007 at 2:18 pm

I have not really read it yet. But did glance through it and can see that this is gr8.

Thanks so much will let you know how I go when I have finished reading your tips.

  141. Ken Bowers - December 11th, 2007 at 4:56 pm

Great book. I had a couple of those items on hand and really had no idea they would sell that well on eBay.

    Keep up the good work.

  142. Richard Brown - December 11th, 2007 at 5:54 pm

A Great book! Liked a source for my Griswold Skillets. I’ll research EBay to
find out what they charge for shipping.

    Thanks!

  143. Sally - December 11th, 2007 at 5:58 pm

Like this book. Thank you for allowing me to send it along to others. Will send it to my sister as she is living in my parent’s house. There has to be hidden treasure somewhere. Also inspiring me to head back to ‘garage’ sales.

Thank you and best of luck.

  144. Bob Downs - December 11th, 2007 at 7:00 pm

Hey Scott…This is a wonderful read. I can’t wait to hit the thrift stores. I’ll be checking your blog all the time now. a BIG thanks again.

  145. Mike Kalinowski - December 11th, 2007 at 7:04 pm

WOW This is awsome I have been trying to figure out what to sell next. Look out flea markets its on. I love this can’t wait to work on these ideas.

    Thanks
    Mike

  146. kathy - December 11th, 2007 at 7:13 pm

Great book! I go to auctions all the time and have seen some of these items, (like reel to reels & 8 tracks) and no one bids or they go for dirt cheap. Then again the skillets always go for a high price. It seems everyone knows about them. I didn’t know about the golf balls. Thank you for compiling all of the information and offering it for free!

  147. Margaret - December 11th, 2007 at 8:06 pm

Great reading and such fun! I got up several times while reading it (really unusual for me!) to check for some of those items and brands! Gave me a boost as so many items I’ve listed have been getting only one bid (or none) usually and your ebook showed that there are still lots of things that will go for more than the beginning list price!

  148. Sandie - December 11th, 2007 at 8:55 pm

Well, well. You have done an amazing amount of work here! Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to share…….your karma is in good shape! As a person who “does” 500 to 1000 garage sales a year this is MOST helpful. Way to go and thank you again! I’ll await more works from you.

  149. Doris Hubbard - December 11th, 2007 at 9:33 pm

Very informative. I certainly keep my eyes open for these tips. Can’t wait to get started on them. Thanks for sharing.

  150. Tommy - December 11th, 2007 at 10:58 pm

Received your book through Skip McGrath’s newsletter. Several of these I knew about but it got my thought processes going. I will add them to my shopping list. Also need to look through some more of my boxes. I have learned not to throw anything away before checking how it sells on eBay. You have my thanks!

  151. Rosey - December 12th, 2007 at 7:42 am

Thanks for the info it was great makes you think twice about throwing it away.

  152. Duane - December 12th, 2007 at 9:52 am

Good information. Goes to show you that just about anything will sell on ebay if you hit the right price at the right time. Gotta get down to my storage unit and pull out those woodworking books I have stored. I knew I was keeping them for some reason.

  153. Dennis D. Dan - December 12th, 2007 at 12:52 pm

Thank you for this free down load. I will use it to increase my business.

  154. Heather - December 12th, 2007 at 2:28 pm

I have been selling off and on on EBay for a few years- your ebook definitely will give me some more items to look for. Thanks.

  155. Maryann - December 12th, 2007 at 2:37 pm

Thanks for the great tips. I made a list of all the magazine titles, alphabetized it and printed it so I will have it handy at Garage Sales.

    Hi Scott:

I found the list to be interesting and of course it started me thinking in a few different directions. I’m sure I have a few of these items and there is always something someone is getting rid of and this list and its updates will be very helpful. Thanks.

    Denise

  159. Louise - December 13th, 2007 at 10:21 am

Awesome!! I can’t believe you gave this away for free!! Thank you!! I’m inspired to go garage saling again.

  160. Clancy Moon - December 13th, 2007 at 11:44 am

    Scott,
I want you to know up front that you are the first person I have found that I felt obligated to leave a comment on a blog (I can’t even spell that.., much less pronounce it).
I think your download of 91 treasures is fantastic. I know most people like the high roller stuff from wholesalers but personally I have fun at yard sales and I like the $2.00 items that sell on eBay for $12.00 - $20.00.., they sell quick and the mark up is great.
If you should ever find that you need to charge for your data and updates, keep me enrolled.., this information is just about pticeless.
This is also true because I am in the process of building a website off-eBay and I like this kind of thing.
    sincerely
    Clancy, Covington, Georgia

  161. Lisa - December 13th, 2007 at 11:56 am

    Hi,

Loved the e-book. Very informative. It provided me with a fresh approach. Thank you.

  162. Tee - December 13th, 2007 at 12:18 pm

    Scott,
I realize the time and effort you put into doing the research that you did to be able to give the information you provided.
I spend many, many hours myself doing what you do, not just on Ebay, but I also research the web on items I have to list, looking for more information on items I list, learning all I can on items I list and also items that interest me.
As a Ebay seller for years, I become very upset with myself because I do not make the money I should, and I don’t list as much as I should.
I often find it ironic how I find items I have listed don’t get bids, or sell for much less than the same items I find listed.
What I find ironic is when I look at other sellers, selling (same as what I have listed)
And I see the high bids and prices they are getting compared to mine, then I will click on the item to see what they are doing different than me to get such attention. And I will look, look again and just scratch my head.
Because I can not believe the quality of the photos?
The auction/store photos are so blurred, dark, or even impossible to see just what it is that someone might be bidding on? But yet, they are getting the bids. And the descriptions? Some are very short and simply state, look at the photos?
I take a lot of time getting the photos as clear as I can and I have many of each item.
I spend a lot of time doing this.
I spend a lot of time doing what you do.
I commend you on your work. Yes, it was very helpfully to me.
    You see, I am “Dyslectic”
I guess that is my handicap as to why I don’t have the amount of listings, and why it takes me so long to create my listings.
But one thing I know, I am always learning, learning about antiques & collectibles.
My book collection, the internet are all great resources for learning.
I want you to know that your “Niches” are great resources for sellers and I hope that you continue to offer your research for free.
    OH, by the way..
Your a HOTTIE!!!! To bad I’m married..

  163. Gloria Johnson - December 13th, 2007 at 12:36 pm

    Scott,

I thank you, and Griff, for sharing such great information. The information you guys are kind enough to share gets me motivated more each time I read something you’ve provided. Without your help, a novice like me would have thrown in the towel long ago. Thanks again!

  164. Sara - December 13th, 2007 at 1:07 pm

    Hi Scott,

Thank you for all of the info that you compiled. It was a very interesting book. Some of the things I had given away and some I had passed up at sales. I will keep this list as I love going to any kind of sales or auctions. As we are retired and travel a lot I get to do a lot of looking and now I will take your list and your updates and look a little harder. Thank you for the free info.

    Sara

    Hi Scott

Thank you for the Superb e-book. Have sold some of these items but others I have never thought about - might even have passed by them. Did have a chance to buy a Reel-Reel but my husband passed on it. Who would have thunk? Keep up the good work!

  168. Sue - December 13th, 2007 at 5:34 pm

Scott - Thanks for the informative ebook, I just printed it out so that we can keep a copy in the car when we go “hunting”. Some of the items, we have known about for years, while others, quite a surprise! Thanks for sharing.

  169. Sandra Rivers - December 14th, 2007 at 10:02 am

Hi, Scott: Thanks so much for the great tips. Although I am always looking for good deals, it really helps to have specific items in mind to be on the alert for. As with others, I could kick myself for getting rid of some of the “treasures” you highlighted. Well- at least now I know better! Good luck to all.

  170. Bill Ennis - December 14th, 2007 at 12:16 pm

Best thing about reading it is that it gets you thinking, especially about my mother’s attic…been meaning to rais it for years.

Also interesting was that my once-expensive film SLR body is probably holding decent value, and not completely eclipsed by digital. I was a very reluctant convert.

  171. Carol - December 14th, 2007 at 12:18 pm

    Scott,

Seversl of the items you mentioned in “Overlooked Treasure” are sitting in my garage. I guess it’s time I learn how to sell on e-Bay. Do you have an instruction manual for first timers?

  172. Susan - December 14th, 2007 at 3:03 pm

    Scott,

Thank you so much for generously sharing free product marketing information which could and would easily sell.
It’s amazing how many accumulated items we all have that can net profit,
if only we know how and where to market it.
Have a Blessed Holiday and Merry Christmas!

  173. Vera Lucia - December 14th, 2007 at 4:15 pm

    Dear Scott
Thank you for the book! I alredy took a look and it seems very good! There some items I never thought could get a good price or even sell.
    hugs from Brazil
    Vera

  174. Cindy - December 14th, 2007 at 4:41 pm

    Scott,
I got some great ideas from your manual. I have quite a few Wagner cast iron skillets that I need to consider posting on ebay. Do you know if this stuff is also in demand on Craig’s List? By the way, I signed up to be an affiliate for your program. Very cool!

  175. Karen - December 14th, 2007 at 5:46 pm

    Hi
I loved this information! I am ready to start looking again!

  176. David - December 14th, 2007 at 5:46 pm

There are a number of very importent points that you have mentioned in your ebook. First, there were many pages that brought that Ebay smile to my face having known sales of similar items. Second, would have never given a second thought about several of the other pages. Now that has all changed. Thanks for making this available. Gang, fyi keep a sharp eye open for items that don’t work. List and disclose properly that items are for parts only. Create your own Ebay smile. Good Hunting!!!!!!

I’m in th process of combining 2 households full of stuff from the last 50 years. I will certainly be looking a little harde before I trash anything.

  178. Matt - December 14th, 2007 at 10:29 pm

Loved the reading! I was surprised on the woodworking magazines. You suggested they sell in bulk lots. Well, I took the other road and listed a large lot as singles and sold them all in two weeks at $4.50 to $9.00 each plus shipping and handling.

Thanks for all your hard work in putting this list together! What a gold mine!

  179. Nancy - December 15th, 2007 at 12:04 am

I have just downloaded your ebook and my husband is reading it now. Thank you so much for the info “free”. I have just retired and have been selling for 3 years, but have not done too well some months and this has really helped to get me “pumped” up for the new year. been thinking about and looking for some new items to sell. Your book is great…I tried to click on the site to add to your update list and could not do that, so what can I do to get on the list for the updates. Can you pick it up from this reply. Thanks again and have a Wonderful Christmas and a Great New Year!!!!!!

  180. Tonya - December 15th, 2007 at 12:08 am

Great Info…to those who noted prices not currently what they once were…that’s because sellers are leaving eBay like rats on a sinking ship due to ^ fees. Sellers = buyers, so…do the math. Good luck to all who remain optimistic…

Admin note: if sellers are leaving ebay “like rats on a sinking ship” then that should leave less competition shouldn’t it? Regardless, it all boils down to what you are selling. If you sell stuff nobody wants then you won’t make any money. Do your reseach before you list — and especially before you buy — and you will come out ahead.

  181. Hamze Mohamed - December 15th, 2007 at 8:56 am

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for the ebook and the additional info. I jsut started my website and is in the process of being constructed. Would you kindly let me promote your products on my website? Free advertisement for you and cool website for me. It’s a win-win situation.

P.S. I hired a great SEO company and I’m expecting huge amount of traffic.

    Regards,
    Hamze.

  182. Jean - December 16th, 2007 at 10:07 am

Thanks for the free tips! The camera info was especially helpful since I have a box full of old cameras I wasn’t quite sure what to do with! Can’t wait for the warm weather to come again so that I can check out the yard sales for all of this “junk” to sell! Here’s to a more profitable 2008! Cheers!

  183. Christy - December 16th, 2007 at 11:36 am

Your guide mentioned cross stitch patterns, which are great. But the best ones are vintage (1950s and earlier), these can be cross stitch, embroidery or even sewing patterns. I have had particulary good results with vintage doll clothes patterns (esp from the 1940s and earlier). Thanks for the tips.

  184. Chuck - December 16th, 2007 at 12:01 pm

Very interesting. Easy format and great information.
A good resourse to have. I must have thrown out a “bundle”
    when I downsized and moved.
Now I can scan more garage sales for fun & profit.

  185. Sheri McNally - December 16th, 2007 at 3:12 pm

    Hey Scott,

What fun to read your ebook. It gave me so many ideas of what to dig out of storage and put on eBay, as well as what to look for at garage sales. It was great to have coverage of such a wide variety of items. Thanks for offering it at no cost. It has reinvigorated me and I can hardly wait until the garage sales start again here in the frozen tundra of Minnesota.

  186. Barbara - December 16th, 2007 at 3:18 pm

Thanks for the e-book. Great Information. I’m now on a renewed quest to clean out my house, garage and attic. Thanks again for a an excellent eye opening e-book. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

  187. Darlene - December 16th, 2007 at 4:25 pm

    Scott,

Thank you for your ebook that is so full of great information! I’ve sold some of the items you have listed but never thought of some of the others.

The best part is you have pictures and prices so even if a person doesn’t get the price you show it gives an inspiration to keep looking for those “overlooked treasures” AND before you discard anything, do some research!

  188. Shelly Laff - December 16th, 2007 at 6:44 pm

    Thanks for sending so promptly.
Lately I’ve gone cold on Ebaying. I’m getting inspired again.
    Thanks

  189. Reg Boczko - December 17th, 2007 at 10:28 am

It took me a while to down load your free e book, but now that I have I’m glad I did… I have had thoses items and toss them out. Or I seen them in thrift stores and did’n buy… I will check them out mor closly now that I know what to look for. Hope nobody else in my town saw this (haha).
But I do have one question, getting a high price have to deal with key words? Or the type of picture of item? Maybe the way it is writen?
If you could let me know I would be so grateful…
happy ebaying… Merry Christmas, and thank you for the gift…

  191. Donna - December 18th, 2007 at 11:24 am

    Scott,

THANK YOU for a great ebook, and for free, I have paid for ebooks that do not come close. You have opened my eyes up to new opportuniites for selling on ebay, and I appreciate the time and effort you have put into this research.

    Great ideas!

    Thank you,
    Donna

  192. goodgoods - December 18th, 2007 at 12:17 pm

    Scott,

I was very impressed with your book. There are some great ideas in there. But after I read it, something was nagging me. I felt like I had seen something very similar before. So I started digging through my email and old files. Sure enough, in April I had received a link from Terry Gibbs to an ebook by Gary Hendrickson of The Auction Rebel. Follow this link:
    http://theauctionrebel.com/wp-content/eBayWSOOffer.pdf

Looks like lots of your ideas came from Gary’s copyrighted work.

P.S. You should hurry up and look at the above link…I imagine this post won’t last too long in this location!

This is Scott: I scanned the pdf file you linked to (Do you have Gary’s permission to post a link to his product?) and the biggest thing I noticed was the completely different items we talk about. Gary has alot of stuff in his book I don’t have and vis-versa. Actually, I “stole” a lot of the ideas from James Jones’ What Really Sells on eBay Course. But, I looked the items up and did the research to find what was still selling well and how how much.

  193. Rod - December 18th, 2007 at 12:34 pm

    Greetings from Singapore,

It was a fascinating book. Great information and simple enough to understand. I am now motivated to go out there and grab some items listed in your book.

Please do not stop here, provide more info in the future!!!

  194. Lovenlife11192006 - December 18th, 2007 at 11:27 pm

    Scott,
A BIG Thank You for writing this ebook. It has given me some ideas. Got the mind to thinking and working again. Can’t tell you how much I appreciate your information. Thanks for sharing.

Looking forward to more information from you in the future!

  195. Katherine Haag - December 19th, 2007 at 4:55 pm

I can tell a lot of work went into putting this together. Thanks for doing this for us.

My brother and I spent a good part of this year getting our mother’s house ready to sell, and in the process had to condense a 5 bedroom house full of things into a 2-bedroom place. All three of us are packrats to one degree or another; mom and I spent every possible weekend garage-saling (her favorite hobby) for many years, so this transition was really stressful, to say the least, due to the amount of stuff we had to get rid of. The first thing I noticed when scanning the contents of your book was how many things I probably could have sold on eBay for a pretty good profit! One of the last things I got rid of was a big collection of crochet books and booklets. Who’d have thought that would sell well? Women here seem to prefer knitting!

This eBook of yours will help me be more aware of what I could be selling on eBay. Thanks for all your hard work!

  196. Bill Hoffmann - December 19th, 2007 at 5:35 pm

This the best of this type of book that I have seen.It will be a great help for finding good things to sell. It opens thought to things that have slipped my memory.Thank you very much for compiling this book and offering it FOR FREE !!!!!!!!! Bill

  197. Carol - December 19th, 2007 at 11:06 pm

Very interesting and informative list! We have a few of those things so will have to dig them out and see how they do on eBay. Thanks!

  198. Mary Wingard - December 20th, 2007 at 7:39 pm

I haven’t sold on ebay in several months but am thinking of starting again. Your list of 91 hot selling items joggd my memory. I have at least 20 of these items in my garage and will get busy trying to sell them right after Christmas!

  199. Sandy - December 21st, 2007 at 10:10 am

Thank you! This was excellent, really got me thinking and at last I got ideas that were doable. I have searched so long for some good info and have wasted so much money. This is wonderful and free!! Thank you, Scott
    and Happy Holidays!

  200. Sabrina A.K.A. Kiks - December 23rd, 2007 at 5:51 pm

I’m with a couple of the other posters….. could kick myself for getting rid of several of the mentioned items when they didn’t sell at my own garage sale! Uhg….

Another hot selling item; BASKETS! Not the cheapy ones from the flower shops, but well made baskets. The older, the better. Check it out!

Thanks again for the info! Fantastic! I’ll be passing it on…. :-)

  201. Pervana Corporation - December 23rd, 2007 at 7:50 pm

I was amazed at all the profitable items I see all the time around town. I am a Power Seller on ebay but only in new retail Hair care & wigs. I think I am going to open another store just to sell items such as these.

  202. Paula Adams - December 23rd, 2007 at 8:09 pm

I just printed the first 35 pages out and will get to read them right after the Holidays. Thanks, and Thank You Cindy for passing the information along.

  203. Lee Wick - December 24th, 2007 at 9:19 am

Good information for all of us sellers. With so much emphasis on wholesale contacts and dropshipping, sometimes we forget how the program started. We found things around the house and sold them.

It’s a lot more satisfying to sell your old gems than to toss them in the trash. Save instruction manuals for things you don’t have. people are looking for these things. Thanks for the good news!

  204. Elena - December 24th, 2007 at 7:52 pm

You had some things that I knew about, and some that were delightful surprises! Good job and thanks for sharing.

  206. Deborah - December 26th, 2007 at 4:39 pm

Thank you again for the ebook. I knew someone who was very broke this Christmas and I printed them off a copy of ebook. She called me this morning she found three things in storage that she could sell that were in the ebook.

I have purchased many ebooks from the internet most were junk. Your ebook is simple, effective and useable.

  207. Frstyfrolk - December 26th, 2007 at 8:35 pm

Thanks for the free e-book. I have looked it over and I have HAD many of these items in the past myself. Now, why did I not save them? I am collecting some of the things you mentioned but it is extra hard to find the number of lots needed to make a good sale but Hey, I am willing to make ANY sale.

Happy Holidays and to a fabulous 2008!
I need to get to listing what I do have at least for now.
    smiles,

  208. Shirley Ventress - December 27th, 2007 at 2:46 pm

Thanks for the information, just the mind jogger I needed. I intend to not only continue selling on Ebay but to open a store within the first quarter of 2008. Good job Scott.

  209. Ellen - December 28th, 2007 at 12:50 pm

Thanks so much for the great ebook and to give it away was so nice! Keep up the great work and please let us know if you do an update.

We are currently going through my parents’ things to settle their estate so the ebook has been a gold mine! For sure, there is a reel to reel and the cast iron, not sure what else, still working on that. My brother was about to throw away the reel to reel and I stopped him and told him about your ebook, he was shocked!

  210. Phyllis Atkins - December 28th, 2007 at 5:30 pm

This book was fantastic. I still can’t believe it was free! It really gave me some ideas of items to look for in the future.

  212. exceldream50 - December 29th, 2007 at 7:25 am

    Dear Scott,

Thanks for your e-book.Surprising items. I really look forward to sell till yesterday.

Anyway I guess I will not continue to sell in Ebay due to few bad expriences. I listed 2 items.

First,I listed liquor.got response, Ebay removed it.
Second I listed a bull at starting bid at USD0.99; not knowing that start bidding price is final price once the listing period is over,as I do not check my email as i was outstation. Now the buyer insist I send the goods to US.

My offer item is 280185618669. I am so dissapointed. I have sell to him at USD5.99 ( inclusive of postal) . He has already paid. I didn’t mean to dishonour but I explain to my buyer that it is too low, lower than my cost,I am willing to senll at USD40.00 ,but my buyer insist at USD5.99.

He is taking advantage of my ignorance and newbie like me. I do not have confidence to sell at ebay.Newbie like me will be penalised. I will get negative feedback, right?

    sad,
    exceldream50

Got your book and was pleasantly surprised by all the stuff we pass by at garage sales. I’ll be more observant from now on. One thing, I have a lot of old jigsaw puzzles from the 60s & 70s. Are they good candidates for ebay?

  219. geoff daum - January 1st, 2008 at 1:04 am

Yep - I would agree with that.. Thanks for the line.

  220. Tobey Craft - January 1st, 2008 at 9:27 am

Wow. Just reading through the ebook took me back in time. I would never have thought our old Polaroid camera would be worth anything on Ebay for it is at least from the 70’s.

I’ll be more observant at garage sales now.

Thanks for allowing us to have this information.

Dear Scott, Thank you for your book. Regret not much applicable to a UK eBayer. Old cameras don’t figure much over here & as to cast iron kitchen goods the thoughts of trying to post would cost a fortune.

Have a good 2008. Thanks you for thinking about me & sending your book.
Sorry it’s not going to help me.
    Regards,

    Peter

Very useful, thanks for putting it together, thought I would tell you about another collection that does the rounds, found out at my own garage sale when I was asked - do you have any melways??? ie Melway street directory…Yes people collect them and they go for a good price on ebay, the older the better.

    Dear Scott Foster,

This e-book (overlookedtreasure.pdf), well adorned and rich contentfull is really well read by many people around the globe and also well appraised by all. I would definitely go through every page of the e-book and I will be definitely benefited by it to make some income over eBay, if I feel myself to really participate in the online eBay large A to Z marketing place in the world.

    With regards,

    Pravin Jadav

  235. Leah Cowan - January 5th, 2008 at 2:40 am

I just downloaded the e-book, and have not read it yet, but wanted to see the blog posts. I had a $3500.00 a month eBay store for a while, but it was growing so fast, and I got ill, and couldn’t keep up with the shipping, and other work involved in the niche I was in. It was a darn good niche, and we made it better with packaging kits, and giving a lot more choices, since everyone else sold from drop shippers. I did not enjoy it though. I have more of a passion for yard saling, and estate sales, and selling those items.

We had a house fire on Thanksgiving, and are in a rental, and all of our supplies are in a warehouse, but in a few months, when we get our home back, I will be starting to do this again. One thing I have learned from all the successful Internet Marketers, especially in the Warrior Forum, is to LOVE what you do, or it will just become a job. I now sell IM software, and love that, but Yard sales just do it for me. Finding something for $1, and selling it for $20.00 is just plain FUN!

PS_ If you want to check out my software site it is http://www.easy-internet-marketing-tools.com/scotsblog-post
I am running a 25% off sale because of the fire. A REAL FIRE SALE LOL
You will have to contact me for a rebate. Scot if this is not allowed, you can delete it. I gotta take every chance I can! :)

LizaS - I am very interested in all of your BOYSCOUT stuff. My husband is an Eagle, and an employee of the BSA, and collects old books, patches, and other things. I emailed the contact info on your website.

  236. Suzanne - January 5th, 2008 at 7:46 am

Thank you for the very interesting ebook. I was amazed to see a 1969 Circus magazine sold for $51! I’ve got about 20-25 Circus, Creem, Rolling Stone mags from the 70s (and a few RS from the 80s) that I was going to get rid of when I moved. I asked a guy at an antique/vintage store what he thought they were worth and he told me not very much but he’d give me a couple of dollars for the whole box. Luckily, I didn’t sell them. I’ll certainly check them out and see if any are in good enough condition to sell.

Plus, we have old games and puzzles, cameras, craft mags and supplies, etc. You’ve certainly made me look differently at my old junk.

Also, I’ll have to tell my stepfather about the woodworking items. He did woodworking for years and has quite a collection.

    Thank you again.

It was terrific! I’ve been an Ebay Powerseller for some time now, but was getting stuck in what I considered antiques! The 1940’s and earlier. I buy quite a few estates and I could of misssed some extra dollars$$$ Thanks!

  239. Ronald Wilson - January 5th, 2008 at 7:26 pm

    Scott,
Thanks for the ideas. My wife and I went to her folks house today and found an old 8 Track-AM/FM radio with the original turn-table, that she had when we were dating in the mid ’70’s. (now you know how old) Plan on listing tomorrow. Found some old Magazines also; they will also be up for grab.

  242. Suzi - January 6th, 2008 at 4:26 pm

Wow! We’ve got quite a few motorcycle magazines, including Street Chopper that are from the 90’s….are they eBay profitable? In fact, I found your ebook outstanding. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

  243. Marcie F - January 6th, 2008 at 7:49 pm

After I told DH about the 2 colored golf ball, he tells me he has one someplace in the garage! I will study your book carefully and know I will gain knowledge from it. Thanks for offering it to people who can use help.

  244. Kathleen - January 6th, 2008 at 8:46 pm

Your free e-book of treasure for selling on ebay was an eyeopener,
Now I know what to look for at our yard and garage sales, which we have a a regular basis once the weather is cooperative, about March.
I find that vintage fragrances and vintage Trifari jewelry brings in high bids

  245. Michele Williams - January 6th, 2008 at 10:01 pm

This is really helpful information! I read a lot of resources, but this one will be really easy to put to use.

    Thanks a lot.

  246. Steve - January 6th, 2008 at 11:18 pm

I have been selling on ebay for many years, but think I may have passed up many of these items at sales.

    Thank you!

  247. Brenda Partridge - January 7th, 2008 at 9:05 am

Interesting stuff, thanks for creating this site

  252. Kathy - January 9th, 2008 at 9:44 am

Scott, Thank you so much for sharing these with me. I’ve got a big box of counted cross stitch magazines I am going to go through and put in my listings to see how they do. Your sharing has inspired me to get back with selling again. Seeing the posts here have helped, too.
Thanks again and keep up the good work!

  253. Corinne - January 9th, 2008 at 12:35 pm

Fantastic e-book, thanks so much for sharing this information! I just donated some Wilton Cake Decorating books to the library last week as part of my New Year’s re-organization. Had I but known. . .

Still, you’ve given me lots of insight and I’m going to explore the possibilities. I also liked Chet’s comments about building niche sites.

Thanks again and I wish you continued success.

  254. Lisa - January 9th, 2008 at 1:58 pm

    Hey there Scott,
How did I miss out on such an intriguing sounding book? Can we still get the book? I’d love to read and learn!!

  255. Nancy - January 9th, 2008 at 9:45 pm

I couldn’t wait to get you free ebook printed and went to my recliner right away to read it. I will be looking for a lot of things that I would have never thought of looking for before. Thank you so much for the information..I will be looking forward now to newsletters from you. Keep up the good work…us retired Sr Citizens really need help in knowing what might have a better chance of selling to help with a little extra income. I hope you can tell me what kind of crafts are selling…maybe I can have better luck than with the ones I have been selling.
    Thanks again Bunches

  256. David Muir - January 10th, 2008 at 7:53 am

Scott, Many thanks for this very informative e book. I went through my attic just after reading it, and have found quite a number of old books dating back to the 1800s. I am now going to catalogue them and put them up for auction.
    Keep up the good work.

  257. Diane - January 10th, 2008 at 9:19 am

The best thing I have read since I started this eBay adventure back in May of 2007.
I have wasted not only money but valuable time on “e-junk” that I just can’t get into.
This is awesome info that I can put to use.
I was considering just giving eBay up all together, but you have given me new inspiration.
    Thanks so much. Diane

  258. Anita Shaw - January 11th, 2008 at 1:00 pm

Like so many others, I’m inspired again to check those boxes of junk I was about to ditch. This ebook had more usable info to me than some I’ve paid for.

Just like another poster said, though, it’s great if the stuff really does sell as well as stated. I’ve got some of this stuff laying around. I’m going to put it to the test this weekend.

  259. Josh - January 11th, 2008 at 6:57 pm

    I enjoy reading your stuff

  260. Susan - January 13th, 2008 at 12:57 pm

Terrific, easy-to-read book with fabulous information. I had a few “duh” moments going through the list. (Why didn’t I think of that? Duh!) Thanks so much!

  261. Gene Stillings - January 13th, 2008 at 9:44 pm

Super info. I have been passing most of these stuff up at auctions and estate sales.
    Thanks for the guidance.

  262. Tammi - January 13th, 2008 at 10:43 pm

I am enjoying your advice. However, I just had an eBay auction pulled that was a lot of Weight Watchers cookbooks. It was pulled for copyright infringement! What is that all about? I thought your readers should be forewarned that Weight Watchers International is on the prowl. I have no idea why they pulled an auction of their used cookbooks, but they did. Just be careful…

  263. Barb Jones - January 14th, 2008 at 8:50 am

Thanks, Scott! I already know how I can put this information to use! I will be printing some of the lists off and keeping them with me when I go on a hunt for treasures to sell online!

I appreciate all the work you have put into this and look forward to updates from you!!

  264. Naureen - January 15th, 2008 at 11:55 am

Scott, thank you so much for this information. The time and effort that must have gone into this is impressive. I’ll print it out and carry it with me so I don’t miss out on anything. I’m looking forward to your updates.

  266. Jerryluv - January 15th, 2008 at 7:20 pm

    Hello Scott,

Thanks for the free ebook download. Your information on what is selling on the Internet will helpful and maybe I will be able to spot some good deals in the future if I am checking out any yard sales, or if find something that I have forgotten about in the basement.

  274. Judy - January 17th, 2008 at 1:29 pm

    Hi,
I simply loved your ebook, it was quite surprising too for me because quite a lot of the items were strange to me being that I am an English girl living here in Bournemouth in the UK?

I got excited when I came to the sewing machines as I have an old Singer in a very nice case that looks like a small table when the machine is inside!

Also the jigsaw puzzels which I love. I have so many in various cupboards so had better get them sorted out! Looking forward to the new inserts in time!

    Judy

  275. Steven - January 17th, 2008 at 8:35 pm

    91 Common Items?

You must be counting each magazine title and time life book series mentioned as a seperate item. Otherwise, there was nowhere near 91 items mentioned.

And I didn’t give you permission to constantly SPAM me with more of your useless reports.

Note from Scott: You have been cheerfully unsubscribed from the list so you’ll not receive any more of my “spam.” Thank you for proving the “there’s one in every crowd” theory.

  278. Tom Christy - January 18th, 2008 at 4:30 pm

Hi Scott: I just wanted to say “thanks” for the fantastic information. I am a “newbie” to all of this so I was certainly surprised to find so many different things that are salable. I will be going to more yard sales, etc. with my wife, now that I have this info.

  279. Jean Woods - January 18th, 2008 at 6:56 pm

Thanks so much for a great ebook, Scott. I’ve already started going through boxes and boxes - I know I have a skillet somewhere - and heaven knows what else. The place is upside down and looks like a hurricaine went through it, but it’s fun finding other things that might sell. Thank your subscribers for their input on other items to sell - every idea helps! Keep sending updates, O.K.?

  280. Daniel - January 19th, 2008 at 12:31 am

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article 91 Common Everyday Items that Bring Huge Profits on eBay, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.

  284. Anne in Atl - January 19th, 2008 at 9:26 pm

I really enjoyed your e-book. It has given me some great info on what to look for when yard sale season comes along in a few weeks - and what to look for at Goodwill! As we say in GA, whodathunkit?
I’m planning on retiring from full-time 9-5 employment in the next 3-4 yrs. and going eBay full time. These e-books and newsletters are a great resource - please keep ‘em coming!

  285. Eugene - January 19th, 2008 at 11:01 pm

These are great tips with the Photos to back it up. Great book! I know I have some of this stuff. There will be many more things to look for at garage sales.
    Thanks Eugene

  286. Sharmil McKee - January 20th, 2008 at 1:44 am

Good job on listing some of the overlooked items that are sold on eBay. Your article is perfect for helping a seller generate new ideas about what to sell on eBay. I also like that your research was thorough and you posted pictures to “back up” your statement.

I do fund raising for my church on eBay by selling items donated by parishioners. Your list provides a valuable “suggestion list” for me to provide the parishioners, many of whom are seniors. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Just read your e-book “91 Common Everyday Items…” I’m living in a gold mine. Can’t wait to clean house and put these “treasures” on eBay. Thank you so much for the invaluable info.

  291. Angie - January 20th, 2008 at 5:05 pm

Great!! Chocked full of items I didn’t realize had value. Plenty of which I’ve thrown away already. As a seller of vintage items, this brought much more light onto what I will be looking for to sell on ebay. Thanks.

  292. Brenda Morse - January 20th, 2008 at 11:20 pm

  300. elamarie - February 1st, 2008 at 12:23 pm

Thanks so much for the information. I shop Thrift stores and Tag sales all of the time, some things I know will sell, others are more of a gamble.
Now with the Ebay fees skyrocketing, IF I continue to sell, I will have to be much more selective when shopping.

    Thanks again.

  301. D. Platt - February 1st, 2008 at 1:47 pm

Enjoyed your list. Keep up the good work.

  302. Kevin Whalen - February 3rd, 2008 at 3:34 pm

Wow Im surprised at some of the items that people bid on, things I would never think of. Great list. I know have some of those items in my house that I never use. Thank you for taking the time to put together this detailed ebook together, it’s is undoubtably a very valuable tool for all eBay users.

  303. Doug - February 4th, 2008 at 3:43 am

    Hi Scott,

I found your ebook to be very eye-opening with some products that are relatively easy to find, but would never think of listing on eBay. I already knew about 70-80% of the items to look for during my numerous thrift shop visits.
I loved Springbok puzzles as a kid and discovered there resell potential on eBay a few years ago myself. I buy them at thrift shops for .50 - $1.00 and have sold many in the $10.00 range and a dozen or so for $40.00 or more. There are a few Springboks that regularly bring $125 - 250.
You may which to add Vintage Games to your list from the 1950’s and earlier. Avalon Hill Games do quite well, particularly their military themed games. Even some of the current board games that are NIB are donated to thrift shops and can do very well depending onthe title.

  304. James - February 9th, 2008 at 7:20 pm

Impressive ebook. I never took another look at those old items in thrift stores and yard sales, now I know there might be some fortune in the trashes. Thank you for the great information.

Scott, Thank You for this most informative report. I also enjoyed reading the other responses. Darn it, I have thrown away many of these valuable items, as I am sure many of us have.

I look forward to hearing more from you. Thanks again for your help.

I am a beginner, I signed up for Ebay a few days ago because I want to start selling on ebay. My girl friend sold some of my watercolors on ebay what really spoild me to sell some stuff for my own.
Y would like to thank to Scott for his kindness to give this book with such valuable information and tips what to sell, for free.

THANKS, VERY INTERESTING, YOU HAVE GIVEN ME SOME GREAT IDEAS.

  316. Gail - February 29th, 2008 at 1:03 am

Your e-book was fascinating! What an interesting group of items - I’m new to selling on eBay, but over the years I’ve not only been a packrat, but I’ve also accumulated a lot of ‘good stuff’. I will certainly keep an eye on your suggestions because eventually I will need to develop a niche and search out items to sell.

I’ve enjoyed reading these replies as there were a few interesting ‘gems’ to also note. I must say that my Beehive Hockey Photos that I collected over 40 years ago were really popular! Hockey cards, coins and photos appear to be very collectible.

  317. Nina - February 29th, 2008 at 6:01 am

Fantastic resource! It’s great to have these big selling items in one place to give you inspiration and to have it regularly updated is even BETTER! One other thing proving very popular in Europe right now is scandinavian art glass - it’s shot up in value recently! Now to go on the hunt around the house for some more treasures to sell………….I’m sure I’ve got some genealogy magazines somewhere………..!

  318. Joe from DominatingCraigslist.com - March 2nd, 2008 at 9:40 am

I have been able to find books cheaply, particularly in the stock market area and resold for 700% to 1500% returns.

One book, not in that arena, is Manhattan Buildings, a book that I picked up for $1 and sold for $70.

I’m a little disappointed to learn it’s now selling for $167 on Amazon. Take a look.

Scott, it is amazing that I get emails from you daily until I buy the EZD product, great preselling! But I havent heard a word from you since, have you run out of great ideas, or is it that your job with me is done. You sold the product and that is it? I would like to know why EZD has never released his user id, is he for real? Just wondering as the product doesnt have the completed sales as it says in his brochure, or at least I have not come accross them. Maybe I am wrong, but I did enjoy your first release of overlooked treasures and hope you will soon add to this phase of your pre selling. Thanks, hope this system works! Just cant find a place to ask questions after the sale has been made!

  321. Jeff - March 8th, 2008 at 10:11 pm

Thanks Scott - It’s great to learn about items that I often would have never considered sellable on ebay. … Just wish I had held on to so many things I owned as I was young and growing up. .. I never would have expected the ebay phenomenon that we see today. If I had,.. boy I’d really be having fun today.

  322. ellen sturges - March 9th, 2008 at 2:19 pm

Wow… how informative and unreal!! Whodathunkit! Sears wishbooks and my dads old Polaroid? And would you believe I have the full Time Life Good Food set sitting on the bookshelf? I’m married to a chef so parting with it may be difficult but I’ll work on him. I’m guessing he knows it all anyway so why keep it, I’ll go with that approach. lol. Stay tuned!
How fun to see the treasure trove you bought to our attention. Just can’t wait to hit the garage sales Sat. Thanx for sharing… hope to get more of your newsletters. Thanx so much Ellen

  325. Brian Oelrich - March 12th, 2008 at 10:23 pm

    Hello Scott,
Your guide is absolutely essential to what I’m looking to start up online:
I’ve heard directly from eBay sellers, and former sellers that, due to the policy/rule changes that started in early 2008, and that eBay is apparently going to “kick” individual/small business sellers off their site as of 5/15/08, resulting in a flood of people out to set up shop on the other online selling sites like Bluejay, eCreater, OnlineAuctions.com, etc., it’s become a crazy, and dangerous, time for online sellers, who’re trying to make any kind of living doing so, especially on eBay.
I am at the research stage of opening my own online selling business - but as a “virtual middleman” between those who store, pack, ship, and accept returns for their merchandise in large enough quantity for me to get a contracted percentage of their sales, or flat fee, to live on - NOT to sell anything of my own.
I would handle listing, scanning the sellers’ photos and uploading them, etc., all online. I’d also handle taking customer orders, and processing them through me to the seller/inventory owner. And, I’d manage other customer issues, with the support of the seller for specific questions/problems only they can answer. I can do this for any seller/warehouser anywhere in the world.
So, knowing how to write irresistible listing advertisement copy is a must for me to learn. Further, I’d need you to take into consideration the current online selling atmosphere, especially at eBay, in your updates of your guide, and help me determine WHAT TO SELL that won’t be copied and undercut out from under me by competing sellers.
Next, I’d want to know how to hook up with reputable sellers who would have an in-demand product to sell in quantity so as to bring in enough for me to pay bills, rent, food, utilities, etc., and hopefully, move up from there.
I’m not looking for drop-shippers. I’m looking for inventory sellers who want to contract with me to list and market their items for them at a contracted percentage/fee. I don’t have the money or storage space to buy up and then try to sell inventory of any kind myself.
So, please look into this new, hostile atmosphere for online sellers. And please put out a listing of large wholesalers, inventory suppliers/distributors, etc., who would be interested in contracting with me to list & market their product(s) on the various selling sites, as I’ve mentioned, while helping me to steer clear of that cliff edge where others copy and undercut me, so I don’t lose my shirt!
Please reply to this message to bkoelrich@comcast.net Thank you for your invaluable assistance,
    Brian

read ypur article and very informative brings things back to the mind you dont think about much more like the saying (one mans junk is another mans treasure) gives me reason to look in some of the packed away boxes and sheds again to see what can be sold instead of sitting in a closed in box put it out where someone will enjoy looking at it like its meant to be thanks!

Thanks for the information. Although looking at the current just past sales on items listed the sale prices were not as dramatic, it still gives ideas of what may work - unusual finds that one wouldn’t normally think of. I’ve tried craft books before without success, maybe it’s the timing. Funny my hubby found an old 8 track player and he is going to post that - never would have even considered wasting my time before your overlooked treasures! Thanks, hope to find more interesting information. We’ve been inspired. Kate & Rob

    Hi Scott,
Thanks for this infomation on what to look for. I am trying to do research for an Ebay business. I know nothing about Ebay or how to proceed but I do like to get my infomation from people who are “in the know”. This saves time. Thank you for your infomation. I appreciate your help in getting me started

Thankyou for the easy-to-read ebook. I’ve been selling on ebay for 6 or 7 years & started with garage sale stuff. I’d given up on garage sales coz it seems everyone is after the same things, but now I have a new list of items to search for. Thankyou for relighting the fire, now I look forward to gargage sales again. I’m in Australia and while brand names may be different - you’ve still given me an inspiration.

    Hi Scott

I tried your link from another site I had purchased info from. The link did not work so emailed the website to get access to your site.I was glad I went to the trouble.I consider your information invaluble.I had already gone to several yardsales where I’d seen some of the treasures you talk about.I might be upset because of some of the deals I passed up if not for the fact that there so prevalent .

Just getting into Ebay. Found your offer per Skip Mcgrath’s newsletter. Very instructive.

Thank you for freely sharing this info. I found myself looking for these items at garage sales. It was also nice to suggest printing & keeping in car as guide. May you be even more blessed for sharing these things to help people & showing yourself friendly & trustworthy.

I received your “91 Treasures…” ebook a few months ago but got burned on a few things through eBay, so I’d decided not to sell with eBay anymore and opted out of further newsletters. Recently I discovered the son of a friend of mine would be homeless if he couldn’t come up with a certain amount of money before the middle of June (he has been unable to find work). He wanted to do selling on eBay, and I said I’d help him. I remembered your e-book so reenlisted to get it again (for him). I know the market for some of these things may have changed by now, but I’ll do the research and hopefully we can go yardsaling this weekend. (We have great yardsales in our area!)

Thanks for providing this… if our yardsaling works to bring in items that will sell well, you may be an instrument for helping to prevent homelessness on some level (at least for one person, hopefully for the summer months).

Scott, Excellent information and tremendous for getting the ideas flowing on items to look out for to sell on eBay or else where.

I mentioned a couple of these items to a friend of mine and he’s now adding some of them to his flea-market offerings.

Looking foward to your next post.

    c) Condition - if all things are equal, and the guitar is original - a vintage guitar in excellent condition will be worth more than one that is not.

So that is the first thing to help you work out what a Vintage Electric Guitar or Vintage Acoustic Guitar is worth.

Superb Ebook! Great suggestions and ideas! It is very rare to find something free that is actually very helpful! Thanks for thinking about those of us who are small business owners that can use a break!

  344. Phil - August 16th, 2008 at 11:45 pm

Hey, Thanks Scott, I hadn’t thought of these items before. I will have to keep my eyes open at the garage sales. Great ebook

  345. Angela - August 18th, 2008 at 1:00 pm

Thanks for sharing your great finds! I have a lot of stuff to sell, but every piece is different and I’m overwhelmed by the amount of time it will take to list it all. Knowing which items are selling like hotcakes (hmm, I have a sudden urge for hotcakes now) gives me some comfort. I can get more profit for less work in less time. Your information is greatly appreciated.

  346. Jennifer - August 25th, 2008 at 8:35 pm

    Hi Scott!
I loved your article! I’d love to be an affiliate but I don’t have a website yet..I’ve been working on it for awhile now.

I rescue dogs from puppymill auctions here in Missouri, it’s horrible what these dogs have been through. After I rescue them I get them the medical treatment they need, get them spayed and neutered, work long and hard to gain their trust and when they’re healthy and ready, I adopt them to new, loving, forever homes. As you can imagine, it costs alot of money to do this. The vet bills alone are unreal! Luckily, so far, I’ve been able to do this all myself with no outside help or funding. I’ve done it by buying different things from garage sales, auctions, and a little from a surplus dealer I met. I then sell them on different classified sites and on ebay. It gets really rough sometimes but I’ve managed.

Your Ebook is a Godsend! When I go to sales, I buy things I think will sell but I’m just guessing. Now, thanks to you, I have something to go by! I’ve already printed it out and I’ll take it with me this week to an auction I’m going to!! I can’t wait and I’ll let you know how I did.

Thanks for sharing you info, I know it took a LONG time to put together. I wanted to let you know that all of your time and hard work is going to help save, treat, rehab and place un-cared for, unloved and horribly abused puppymill dogs.

    Thanks Alot!!

    Heya Scott,

I found your website and free ebook link on a friend and fellow ebayer’s blog site, boy am I glad I decided to check you out! I haven’t made a copy to go in my car yet, but that is next on my list! I went to a couple of local thrift shops this morning and bought several of the craft books and weight watchers cookbooks that I seen in your ebook, I’m so excited to see the outcome as I didn’t pay a penny more than .50 cent each for them!! I knew the craft books were good sellers but I would have NEVER thought of the weight watchers books and the ones I bought are vintage at that! I’ve bought a few ebooks on what to buy, my favorite (one that i actually paid for, i Mean) is from ebay powerseller Danna Crawford..”an eye for what to buy 2″…and let me tell ya, it was worth EVERY penny, but you have things in yours that are more commonly found at thrift stores, yard sales, etc. You really could make a nice profit off of this ebook, but thank you for the free version as I now have a FRESH new outlook on things to “watch” for. You rock, keep up the good work!!

p.s. and to the person who posted about the VINTAGE TYPEWRITER KEYS…wow! who woulda thought?…thanks!

Hi, Scott - I just downloaded your ebook, haven’t read it yet, but I am looking very forward to it! Just wanted to let you know I got your info from Jenni Hunt of MyToyGuide fame. If she recommends you, then I will probably love anything you put out!
    Thanks!

  351. Ron - November 14th, 2008 at 7:54 am

I’ve been doing eBay for over 11 years and I still learned a lot from your e-book. Thanks for the tips.

  352. calicotigress - December 14th, 2008 at 12:06 pm

I will certainly look a lot closer at the old magazines and things I see at estate sales. Who would have thought about that?

  353. Mike - January 14th, 2009 at 6:55 pm

    Hey guys!!!!
What can I say ? terrific ! It realy seemes like you guys have done a very elementary job over here.

  354. Don - January 16th, 2009 at 11:54 am

    GREAT information…Thank You !!
I recently opened a ‘drop off store’ as a T/A for ebay and doing consignment sales for people.
This info will be useful in deciding what to accept on consignment.
Between my ’stuff’ and items I’ve received on consignment I’m running out of room to adequately display everything.
But that’s a good problem to have, I can buy more tables, etc.
Hopefuly, I can be a little more selective about what to accept in the future and aim for a little more ‘upscale’ merchandise.
Too much time involved in taking pics, listing, etc. not to make it count…as ‘they’ say…Time Is Money.
Even more so now that I have the overhead of operating a B&M store.
No longer a hobby and fun thing…now it’s a BUSINESS and time to get serious, and I think your info will certainly be a big help.
    Again,
    THANK You !!

  355. Brent - January 28th, 2009 at 5:34 pm

Scott, fun going through this stuff. Amazing what this old junk can fetch. I’m digging out our old skillets this week (I think we have a least 3) and will be putting them up on ebay! Never new some of that stuff was worth $$$? The oddest item was the 8 track player, who’d of thunk? I’ll be on the lookout for that stuff from now on.
